Pre - Care

​

• This treatment is not recommended if you have an event within 2 weeks of your injection date, due to the potential for bruising.

• Avoid blood thinners for 2 weeks before treatment, unless you have been directed to take them by your PCP.

• Taking Arnica before and after your injections may help diminish bruising.

Post - Care

​

• Mild headache and/or bruising is to be expected.

• Avoid touching/rubbing your face for 24 hours.

• Do not use retinol, vitamin c or other potentially irritating products for 24 hours.

• Do not lay flat for the first 4 hours.

• Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for the first 24 hours.

• Avoid hot tubs, saunas and excessive heat for 72 hours.

• Do not exercise for 24 hours.

• Be patient! Full results will take 10-14 days. 

• Schedule a two week follow up appointment.

Pre - Care

​

• Avoid any use of ADA, Advil or Motrin for the first 24 hours prior to treatment. These drugs may increase your risk of bruising and bleeding in the injection area.

• Please inform us if you are prone to cold sores. We will have you start medication 24 hours prior to your treatment to help prevent a flare.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your procedure.

Post - Care

​

• Expect bruising and swelling.

• Take Tylenol for mild pain and apply a cold compress for any discomfort.

• Avoid Blood thinning medication. 

• Avoid manipulating the area. 

• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and tanning beds for 72 hours.

• Avoid exercise for 24 hours. 

• Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours.

• Contact us with any concern for infection or reaction to filler!
